The Dream

More than 6 Years ago God put a dream in Bob and Shari Williford's heart to begin a new church. At the time, Bob worked for a wonderful church in California that gave him the freedom to pursue the dream while continuing to serve on their leadership team.

In January of 2003 Bob and Shari connected with the leadership of Grace Chapel in Wilsonville, Oregon, and over the course of the next few months decided that this was where God was leading them. This led to a small group of families relocating to the Northwest in August 2003. Bob joined the staff at Grace Chapel in January 2004 and we launched Southgate Chapel on September 18, 2005.

It has been an exciting adventure to watch the dream of beginning this new church unfold. Please take time to browse our values and our beliefs to get a better idea of who we are becoming. Our Team

Bob and Shari Williford: Bob is the Lead Pastor here at Southgate and along with his wife Shari has been in full time ministry for the past 20 years. They have been married for 18 years and have 4 wonderful children. Bob loves to golf and fish and is always up for a good cup of coffee and hanging out. Bob and Shari share the love of the outdoors, love making old things beautiful, and spend lots of their time at their children's school and sporting events.

Brad and Birgitta Clark:  The Clark's joined our team July of 2007.  They had spent several years serving at a church on the Central Coast of California.  They desired to move to the Northwest to be closer to family and we have been blessed to have them join our team.  Brad leads our worship teams.  They have two young kids (Maddax and Vienna).

Geoff and Celina Green: The Green family responded to God's leading and moved from California with the Willifords. Celina served with Bob for the last several years in California on their youth team. Her role on the team is that of administration. Geoff leads a home community and plays bass for our Sunday gatherings.

Beth Lott: Beth has been serving as our Children's Director since September of 2007.  She grew up in Spokane, Washington and is a full-time student at Corban College in Salem.  She is passionate about watching kids grow in their faith.  We are excited to have her on our team.
