who we are what we believe what we value where we meet
.
We are excited about being together for another summer camping trip. The routine is similar to past trips . We have booked the entire camp ground containing 9 separate camping sites with 22 tent pads. Each of the 9 sites has a parking area that could house a couple of RV’s or tent-trailers.
Scout Lake is a small lake adjacent to Suttle Lake in the HooDoo Recreation area (info link). The campground is located 95 miles east of Salem on Hwy 22/20 (approx. 50 miles past our campground from last year's trip).
Each campsite has at least 1 picnic table and a fire pit. There is a volleyball net, horseshoe pits, and a road to ride bikes. There is also a central mid-sized covered area some might use for eating meals.
There are no hook-ups for the sites but there is a gravity fed water system and there are 3 sets of vault toilets. Coin operated showers are available at the HooDoo resort (10 miles back towards home on the highway).
Dogs are welcome but must remain on a leash and are not allowed to swim in the lakes. Adjacent to our campsites is a dayuse area where outside groups can come to swim in the lake.
Cost is $20 per night per family. Register with Celina (e-mail) and let her know when you are coming and what your camping plans are (how many tents and/or what sort of rig you are bringing).
There are certainly more questions you may have, so feel feel to e-mail for more info (e-mail)
Here are some pics (sorry for the black and white photos, operator error!)
