Readings:   John 1:14, Psalm 80

The Psalmist ends his thoughts by crying out to God:

“Restore us, O Lord God Almighty; make your face shine upon us, that we may be saved.

John declares:

“The Word became flesh and made his dwelling among us. We have seen his glory, the glory of the One and Only, who came from the Father, full of grace and truth.”

The cry… the Answer

Restore us that we might be saved… and the Word became flesh.

God places in each of us a hunger to know Him and then provides the means. This Advent season celebrate the means… Jesus taking on flesh, living a miraculous life, and then willingly dying that we all might know life.

Take a minute with a piece of paper and express your gratitude to God that Jesus took on flesh… that we have seen the glory of God… that we might know life.
