Readings: John 1:10, Psalm 71, Jeremiah 33:14-16
Read John 1:10 again… “He was in the world and though the world was made through Him, the world did not recognize Him.”
Seriously? Can you imagine anything much more tragic?
The kids he played tag with
the adults who tussled His hair
His brothers and sisters…
Worse yet…
Crowds of people more desperate than they knew
religious leaders stuck in the piety
Jews waiting to see what was right in front of them.
To think that there were some who could have been standing shoulder with
the One who created the scene in the above image and have missed it.
How about we pinky promise each other to never let that happen to us.
Jesus I lift us your name and recognize Your greatness. I ask for the grace to see the evidence of your fingerprints everywhere. With my mouth I will tell of your righteousness and proclaim your mighty acts (Ps 71:15-16).
