Day 11

Readings: Luke 1:39-45, Psalm 122, Is 49:6; 32:3

"You are blessed because you believed that the Lord would do what He said".

Trust and obedience can sound like simple concepts, and every once in a while they may even be easy to practice. But when it comes to our relationship with God (personally, and historically as the human race) there is overwhelming evidence that we miss out on innumerable blessing because we have trouble believing that the Lord will do what He says.

If we're called to live in big ways (or the big "Way" of Jesus), have we listened to all that that call means, and trusted God to work out the details for us? Have we opened ourselves fully to Him? "Then everyone who has eyes will be able to see the truth, and everyone who has ears will be able to hear it."

Father, make us your children. Give us the innocence and purity to put all our trust in you and follow wherever you lead. We want to see and hear your way in our lives. Amen.
